Ride the railroad starting out West in the 1940s behind steam, then it's special passenger runs in the Midwest in the 1950s and ending with a couple of trips behind diesels in the mid-60s. These are railroad booster runs, from the Santa Fe, Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, D&RGW and the Burlington Route. Hop on board these specials and take a look around when the trains pull into the station. This is rare color film from the period and includes the 50th anniversary of Kansas City's Union Station with a special run behind steam.
